EPANETCALC
The command
EPANETCALC Activates the network calculation engine
EPANET
To use, call EPANETCALC from the command line, menu, toolbar, or Ribbon
Note: To be able to calculate networks using this calculation engine, there must be:
- Consistent Pressure Networks, that is:
- All EPANET Links:
They must be connected to the EPANET Nodes:
Both at the beginning and at the end of the link
- Networks must contain devices that model EPANET information (see topics: EPANET Nodes
and EPANET links)
- The affected networks cannot be external references. The calculation can only be done on networks of the current design
- Population projection calculations should be checked so that they generate initial demands in the EPANET calculation model
- The EPANET settings must be valid (simulation time, pattern and curve data, etc)
- The Time Patterns must be correct, that is, the Priority property must be marked with the icon
- The Curves must be correct, that is, the Priority property must be marked with the icon
- If there are Control Rules being applied, they must be well written, with the correctly associated device names. If not, the icon appears.
in the rules node
- There can be simple rules on the links. These also need to be configured correctly, with the name of the links and affected nodes filled in
- When launching pipes, make sure you have correctly configured the "Initial State" property. State defined as "closed" tends to cause negative pressures
- Note: : for the process to work, it is necessary that the names of the files indicated in the category ' Files from Epanet' have valid paths and are not 'Read Only', otherwise an error screen will be displayed. If this happens, correct the location where these files are saved and try again.
After the command completes the calculation, errors can be reported on the command line, which come from the EPANET engine itself
Node pressure values will be filled in after the calculation, if no errors occur during the process
Note: EPANET API errors may occur during the calculation process.
These errors may or may not interrupt the process.
If they are interrupted, an error message will be displayed, which is listed in the topic EPANET Errors
Note: To be able to Use this command, a
license is required.
