Solids Builder - EPANET Nodes


The Nodes are the components that interconnect the Conduits of the flows.

For SOLIDOS to recognize the properties of a node in point device, it is necessary that the Constructor contains one of the tools listed below, in order to implement such properties:

Note the last item. It is he who will define the device as being a junction for EPANET. Also note that the properties of the joint that depend on the geometry/location of the device are defined in the properties of the Junction Activity:

Node types include:

  1. Junction - generic node that can be: curve, sleeve, tee crosspiece, reduction, etc
  2. Tank - Tanks are nodes with storage capacity, where the volume of water stored can vary over time during a simulation
  3. Reservoir - Reservoirs are nodes that represent an external infinite source or sink of water to the network
