Devices

The devices within this program are all the elements that make up the networks, such as:

These devices are classified into four basic types:

  1. Point Devices - every device that has only one insertion point, that is, to locate this device, we can refer to the X coordinates, Y, Z from its position, or even station/offset in relation to the reference axis.
It usually has reduced dimensions, for example: A manhole, inspection box.
They have an insertion point, even though they have a length, width, and height.
This type of device generally allows more than one linear or longitudinal device to be connected to it, directing the flow to it. However, this device can only connect to a linear or longitudinal output device. Flow Dividers are not yet supported.
  2. Linear devices - every device that has two insertion points and no intermediate points.
These points are called Upstream and Downstream.
    Examples are: pipes, Descents, Stairs.
Another important feature is that these devices can connect upstream and downstream with other point devices.
This connection must necessarily correspond to the flow direction, that is, the starting point of the device is the upstream point
  3. Longitudinal devices - every device that has two insertion points and may have intermediate points that modify its geometry, such as gutters and gutters.
They are elements that have practically the same characteristics as linear devices.
  4. Connected Devices - These are a special type of point device, which are connected along linear devices
Example: in Sewage Networks, would be the building connections in the main network

Devices have a number of properties that are shared. These properties serve to identify the device: Name, Network, Code, serve to locate the device: Stake, Offset, among many others. These properties are categorized in order to organize the information.

The commands for editing devices are:

This categorization is evident in the program's PalletSet, for example, in the Properties tab:

Note the titles in bold, next to the expand button () the category.
