EPANET - Link
Links direct the flow from one EPANET node to another. ON SOLID, the links are modeled in linear devices
via Constructor in Pressure Networks.
There are 3 types of link in EPANET:
- Pipes - pipes carry water from one point to another in the network
- Pumps - Pumps are devices that impart energy to a fluid, thereby raising its hydraulic head
- Valves - Valves are used to control pressure or flow at a specific point in the network
EPANET links share the following properties:
- Calculations
- Flow - Calculated flow for the link
- Head Loss - Head Loss calculated for the link
- Loss per 1000 - Accumulated Head Loss for the link every 1000 meters (or feet, it is the value that appears in the native EPANET program)
- Quality - Quality
- Status - State of the pipe after dimensioning
- Epanet
- Controls - List of simple controls associated with the tube
pipes can be opened or closed at preset times when tank levels drop below or above certain setpoints, or when nodal pressures fall below or above certain setpoints through the use of Controls, click the icon
