SWMMCALC
The command
SWMMCALC Activates the network calculation engine of SWMM
To use, call SWMMCALC from the command line, menu, toolbar, or Ribbon
Note: To be able to calculate networks using this calculation engine, there must be:
- Consistent Drainage Networks, i.e.:
- All SWMM Links:
They must be connected to the SWMM Nodes:
Both at the beginning and at the end of the link
- Networks must contain devices that model SWMM information (see topics: SWMM Nodes
and SWMM links)
- The affected networks cannot be external references. The calculation can only be done on networks of the current design
- Connections must always be upstream to downstream
- The settings
SWMM must be valid (simulation time, pattern and curve data, etc)
- The Time Patterns must be correct, that is, the Priority property must be marked with the icon
- The Time Series must be correct, that is, the Priority property must be marked with the icon
- The Curves must be correct, that is, the Priority property must be marked with the icon
- If there are Control Rules being applied, they must be well written, with the correctly associated device names. If not, the icon appears.
in the rules node
- Depending on the calculation models linked in SWMM, more items are required, such as:
- Groundwater
- Rain / Flow
- Snow Melt
- Rain dependence
- Flow Propagation
- Water Quality
- Note: for the process to work, it is necessary that the names of the files indicated in the category ' Swmm Files' have valid paths and are not 'Read Only', otherwise it will be shown an error screen. If this happens, correct the location where these files are saved and try again.
After the command finishes the calculation, errors can be reported on the command line, which come from the SWMM engine itself
Note: SWMM API errors may occur during the calculation process.
These errors may or may not interrupt the process.
If they interrupt, an error message will be displayed, which is listed in the topic SWMM Errors
Note: To be able to Use this command, a
license is required.
