Solids Builder - SWMM Nodes

The Nodes are the components that interconnect the Conduits of the flows.

For SOLIDOS to recognize the properties of a node in point device, it is necessary that the Constructor contains one of the tools listed below, in order to implement such properties:

Note the last item. It is he who will define the device as being a junction for SWMM. Also note that the properties of the joint that depend on the geometry/location of the device are defined in the properties of the Junction Activity:

Node types include:

  1. Junction - generic node that can be: manhole, connection box, manhole mouth, wolf mouth, etc
  2. Outfall - the endpoint of the network. SWMM requires the discharge point to be an outlet type.
It could be: manhole, energy sink or even a manhole
  3. Divider - flow Divider device
Used to control the flow leaving the node. Usually the flow that comes out of this device, does it through one of its outputs and when this value exceeds a certain limit, the excess comes out through the secondary output
  4. Storage - are nodes of the drainage system that provide the storage volume
Could be Rain Barrels, reservoirs, etc.
