Configuration

The necessary settings for creating networks in the SOLIDOS program are:

  1. To create any kind of device, Constructors are required. Constructors are responsible for building of devices in the Model Space
Use the command SBUILDER - to create the Constructors
Note: you can import the templates already available in the plugin, using the command SIMPORTSTYLES to import the templates. They are located in the " <SOLIDOS installation folder>\Support\Catalogos.dwg"
  2. Constructors alone are not enough. Typical sections are needed, which contain the dimensions of the device you want to build.
These typical sections will be in the Material Lists. To create a material list, use the command SEDITPARTS, with it, create all the typical sections you need. In the example file, there are some lists already configured.
Note: The Materials List was designed to facilitate and organize the typical sections, so you can standardize layers, styles and rules. Styles control the appearance of the device, while rules can validate dimensions or network Designing calculations.
  3. To launch, you will need to have a project in Civil 3D. This project needs to contain at least the surface (TIN SURFACE or GRID SURFACE) for the final earthmoving, as it the elevations where to insert the devices will be read. Street alignments and simplified architectural design (with streets and lots, for example) may also be useful
  4. On any type of network, configure at least:
  5. A Drainage Network does not have many parameters to configure. In principle, configure in the network properties:
  6. A pressure network or sewer network must have one consumption sector pattern to be associated with the pipes.
This consumer sector has a series of parameters to configure: Note: Consumer Sectors can also be associated later. In the Properties Tab, choose the Consumer Sectors property
  7. The other properties can be configured later.
