SIMPORTPRESSURE
The command
SIMPORTPRESSURE imports Pressure Networks from Civil 3D (Pressure Pipes) to SOLIDOS, creating a Pressure Network by SOLIDOS
The purpose of this command is to make it possible to import networks already created in Civil 3D into SOLIDOS, where it will be easier to create/edit Constructors of devices of the most varied
type, enabling integration to EPANET
To use the command:
- Call SIMPORTPRESSURE from the command line, menu, toolbar or Ribbon
- On the import properties screen:
You must configure:
- Materials List - name of the Materials List that contains the families and sizes that will be mapped
Note: Point devices and linear devices only
Pressure Networks can be used, as the networks created will be of the type Pressure Network
- Connections - connection type conversion table (bend, tee, cross) from Civil 3D Pressure Pipes to point devices from SOLIDOS:
Some observations:
- The Civil 3D Pressure Pipes connections can differentiate curves, tees, crosses (provided you have created this one), so choose the compatible sections of SOLIDOS according to them, using the < property i>Description of Civil 3D devices
- In the screen above, you must use the Description property:
to assign some device specific typical section
(Pressure Pipes API is still pretty bad)
- If unable to bind to any typical section, the node will not be imported and errors will be shown on the command line
- The use of a typical SOLIDOS section assumes that the properties: type of material, diameter, wall, etc., are in accordance with those observed in Civil 3D devices
- Pipes - conversion table from Pressure Pipes to Pressure Linear Devices from SOLIDOS :
Some observations:
- In the screen above, the Tag column can be filled with the Description property of Pressure Pipe from Civil 3D:
- If the Diameter column is set to zero, the TAG column must contain a value and vice versa
- Note: The Section column can only be populated with typical sections available in the BOM
assigned to the network. use the button
Materials List to choose a Materials List
if necessary
- Click the button
List Descriptions to import from released Pressure Pipe Network, the pipe description and the
diameter. This will make the search easier as it doesn't have to be done manually
- The Pressure Pipes pipes can be curved. In this case, inform in the column Convexity, the name of the model property that controls this device characteristic:
- Devices - conversion table of device types (valves, pumps) from Pressure Pipes to Pressurized Linear Devices a> of SOLIDOS:
Note: As
Valves, Pipes and
Pumps that appear in Pressure Pipes in Civil 3D must be converted to
linear devices in SOLIDOS, in order to have compatibility with valid EPANET types.
Therefore, the conversion of valves in Civil 3D can be a little different, as two pipes will be converted into one
Valve (when 2 pipes are actually connected to the Pressure Pipe valve)
- Click OK and wait. A SOLIDOS Pressure Networks will be created for each Civil 3D Pressure Pipes network
Note: To be able to Use this command, a
license is required.
