SIMPORTGRAVITY

The command SIMPORTGRAVITY imports gravity networks from Civil 3D (Pipe Network) to SOLIDOS, creating from Drainage Networks or Sewage Networks from SOLIDOS

The purpose of this command is to make it possible to import networks already created in Civil 3D into SOLIDOS, where it will be easier to create/edit Constructors of devices of the most varied type, enabling integration with SWMM

To use the command:

  1. Call SIMPORTGRAVITY from the command line, menu, toolbar or Ribbon
  2. On the import properties screen:

    You must configure:
    1. Materials List - name of the Materials List that contains the families and sizes that will be mapped
Note: Point devices and linear devices only of gravity can be used, because the networks created will be of type Drainage Networks or Sewage Networks
    2. Structures - structure conversion table (manhole, connection box, manhole) from Civil 3D Pipe Network to point devices of SOLIDOS:

      Some observations:
      • Civil 3D Pipe Network structures can differentiate manhole, manhole with cone, junction box, manhole, etc. then choose the compatible sections of SOLIDOS according to them, using the Part Size Name property of Civil 3D devices
      • On the screen above, you must use the Part Size Name property to fill in the Tag column:

to assign some device specific typical section
      • Click the button List Descriptions to import from the launched Pipe Network, the Part Size Name of the structures. This will make the search easier as it doesn't have to be done manually
      • Fill in the Sump Elevation column with the name of the model property that controls the Sump Elevation on SOLIDOS devices:

In civil 3D, this corresponds to the Sump Elevation property:

      • Fill in the Height column with the name of the model property that controls height on SOLIDOS devices:

In civil 3D, it corresponds to the Rim to Sump Elevation
      • property
      • If unable to bind to any typical section, the node will not be imported and errors will be shown on the command line
      • The use of a typical SOLIDOS section assumes that the properties: type of material, diameter, wall, etc., are in accordance with those observed in Civil 3D devices
    3. Pipes - conversion table from Pipe Network to linear gravity devices SOLID:

      Some observations:
      • In the screen above, the Tag column can be filled with the Description property of Pressure Pipe from Civil 3D:

      • Note: The Section column can only be populated with typical sections available in the BOM assigned to the network. use the button Materials List to choose a Materials List if necessary
      • Click the button List Descriptions to import from released Pressure Pipe Network, the pipe description and the diameter. This will make the search easier as it doesn't have to be done manually
      • The Pipe Network pipes can be curved. In this case, inform in the column Convexity, the name of the model property that controls this device characteristic:

  3. Click OK and wait. A Drainage Networks or SOLIDOS Sewage Networks will be created for each Civil 3D Pipe Network network

Note: To be able to Use this command, a license is required.
