Solids Builder - Solids
Solids are the final geometries to be drawn.
There are the following activities that create solids:
Extrude - creates an extrusion of plane geometry with a height
Swept - creates a swept solid from flat geometry across an axis
Loft - creates a transition between two flat figures
Revolve - creates a solid by Revolve of a flat section on an axis
Join - joins two or more solids into one
Slice - cuts a solid on a plane
Subtract - subtracts one more solids from a source solid
Intersect - intersect one more solids from a source solid
Note: the activities
Join,
Slice e
Subtract do not modify the original solids.
When processing them, copies are created and they are modified.
Properties (to be used in VB expressions, for quantitative for example):
- Volume - solid volume (real number)

- Area - surface area of the solid (real number)
- Centroid - centroid of the solid (
Point)
- MaxPoint - greater X, Y, Z of the parallelepiped that circumscribes the solid (
Point)
- MinPoint - smaller X, Y, Z of the parallelepiped that circumscribes the solid (
Point)

Methods (for use in VB expressions)
- Sphere - creates a sphere with informed radius and center
sphere = GeometrySolid3D.
Sphere(center, radius)
Where:
center is a
Point
radius is a real number
- Box - creates a parallelepiped with informed dimensions and center
box = GeometrySolid3D.
Box (center, length, width, height)
Where:
center is a
Point that will be at the center of mass of the solid
length, width, height are real numbers
- Pyramid - cria uma pirâmide
pyramid = GeometrySolid3D.
Pyramid (center, height, sides, radius, topRadius)
Where:
center is a
Point that will be at the center of mass of the solid
height, Pyramid height, real number
sides, number of sides (whole)
radius, base radius (real number)
topRadius, radius of the top of the pyramid (real number)
