Operation
To operate the program follow these steps:
- Create a new document by clicking the
New
- If you already have or want to open the sample file, click the
Open
- Execute or obtain earthmoving guidance where it is possible to establish
characteristics for the materials that will make up landfills.
This data will be populated in the segmentation tab of Sources items or the main Segmentation tab.
- Do the sizing of the road or railway superstructure, establishing the minimum criteria of the subgrade,
refill and body of landfill.
Normally, the superstructure is constant throughout the stretch, varying only the height of the reinforcement of the subgrade.
This sizing should inform which is the minimum CBR and
Maximum acceptable expansion for landfills, reinforcements or final layer.
Please inform this program
on the Demands tab.
- Knowing where they will have the reinforcements of subgrade, occurrences of soft soils, thickness of the vegetal layer, the modeling
of the lodged sections.
- From sections lodged, usually every 20 meters, it is possible to extract the area
of each piece of earthwork.
Thus, for each source and demand, one can fill in
Areas and volumes tab of the source and demand items.
To get the values from Autodesk Civil 3D areas and volumes, use the
DDMLINK.
- With the areas of each element mentioned above, the volumes of each material are calculated, by the method of the sections, which says:
Volume (Station) = (Area (Station) + Area (Previous Station)) * Distance (Station,
Previous Station) / 2
- These volumes can now be discretized as a source or demand material.
In order to give more precision to the DMT, you can still limit the distance between the Start Station and the
End Station, subdividing an offer or demand into two or more, with smaller lengths.
These items will appear in the range worksheets.
Of the source and demand
tabs.
To sort, use the button
Rank Items
- These rankings are cross-referenced, getting the DMT,
as well as the possible ranges for each source.
-
DMTs between a source item and a demand item
is evaluated as a function of the center of mass (KM) of each item, taking into account the desired characteristics in the demand (CBR, Expansion and Permeability) and the geometric impossibilities.
- Data can be validated before calculating.
To do this click the
Validate
- The Stepping Stone algorithm is applied to resolve the distribution,
by clicking the
Calculate Distribution.
- Finally, one should do a careful analysis of the results obtained.
After reading the program's help, you will be able to understand the Study Case.
It is shown as
get data in Civil 3D, process and draw the results of the calculation of distributions.
