Segmentation

First and Second Category materials should have a Segmentation table, which informs the CBR, Expansion and Permeability for each homogeneous segment.

The Third category materials do not have segmentation. Assuming CBR = 100, Expansion = 0 and Permeability = 0. You can force the use of Segmentation to third category materials by enabling the settings tab in the Allow third category segmentation.

These ranges are defined by the geotechnics, which can make tests on the subgrade and also on the lateral cuts.

Each interval will have the following characteristics:

  1. Start Raw Station - initial station of the range
  2. End Raw Station - final station of the range
  3. Start Station - Converted value of the initial progressive as a function of the parameters of station equations
  4. End Station - Converted value of the final progressive as a function of the parameters of station equations
  5. CBR - California Support Index (or ISC).Provided by geotechnology
  6. Expansion - Expansion of the soil comes from the earthmoving guidelines provided by geotechnology.
  7. Permeability - Soil permeability comes from the earthquake guidelines provided by geotechnology.

These ranges will be used by the program to sort volumes calculated and distribute them in Item Ranges.
