Sources
In the DDM program, the sources, or material offerings, are the excavated materials.
These materials have the following properties:
-
Name - Name of the source or destination item, examples: Cut,
Loan, Undercut, Mole
-
Type - Informs the type of the source.
Can be:
-
Fixed - Includes all sources that have mandatory execution, ie always must be done.
Example: Cut, Undercut
-
Variable - Includes the sources that have optional execution, ie the loans or deposits.
These will have a delivery capability that can be all used or not.
-
Undefined - When sorting sources and demands, the total volume of source and the total volume of destination are compared.
If there are more demands than offers,
a dummy bid will be created so that DDM can calculate the distribution using the Stepping Stone method, which requires the
supply and demand are balanced.
This item is created automatically by the plugin and can not be changed, however the user can choose if
this dummy loan will only be for demands of the variable type or if it also serves for those of fixed type.
It is recommended to calculate once with the unchecked option and look at the distribution to see if you are looking for a closer dump site.
-
Code - Item code.
It will be used to form the name of the items in source ranges.
Examples:
- CP - for first category cut
- CS - for second-order cutting
- CT - for third category cut
- RP - for first category refill
- RS - for second category refill
- RT - for third category refill
- EP - for first category borrow pit
- ES - for second category borrow pit
- ET - for third category borrow pit
- SM - for soft ground
-
Group - Group of the source item.
It will have effect on the source ranges of the source items.
When to use: If you want the first, second, and third cuts to be grouped, having a unique name when intersecting cutting intervals.common groupings are: Cut, Undercut, Borrow pit.
Note that each of them can be in first, second or third category.
Note also that this column is only available,
if you are in the settings box, you have the option Group sources and demands checked.
Examples:
- Cut - includes first, second, or third category cuts
- Undercut - includes first, second or third category recesses
- Borrow Pit - includes first, second or third category Borrow Pit
- SoloMole - includes soft or unsalted soils
-
Homogenization factor - Is the relation between the volume of the material in the natural state and the volume it will have after being compacted:
Fh = Vc / Va
Where:
Vc is the volume of the material before being removed from the natural state
Va, is the volume of the material after being compacted
Fh, is the homogenization factor
-
Expansion factor - Is the relationship between the volume of loose material and the volume of the material in its natural state:
Ep = Vs / Vc
Where:
Vc is the volume of the material before being removed from the natural state
Vs is the volume of loose material, or to be transported
Ep, it is the factor of expansion or blistering
-
Geometric Volume - Volume of material in the natural state, before being removed
-
Equation - used by
DDMLINK , to import the
areas of Material List.
You can only edit if the program is working with DDMLINK and Civil 3D.
Double-click the cell to open Equation Editor
-
Distance - Informs you how to move away from the rectangle of the axis
For each source item also report, if any:
-
Segmentation by source type
-
Areas and volumes
-
Ranges
If any value is invalid, the text will be in red, indicating the error.
Cells with yellow background, are editable.
Cells with white background, are read-only.
