Solids Builder - Builder Properties
The section properties panel allows editing of the following section or Constructor properties:
- Name - Name that will be assigned to the section
Avoid names that are too long, or that contain numbers, or the following characters: '*', '>', '<', ' ;/', '\', '"', ':', ';', ' ;|', '=', '`', '#', ',', ' ;?'
- Name Template - Used to create the names of devices and sections
Avoid very long names, or names that contain numbers.
Editing is similar to the Tips Template below.
An example for a manhole:
PV [Length(T1|U9|P0|D0|N1|M1|Z0)] x [Width(T1|U9|P0|D0|N1|M1|Z0)]
Results: PV 100 cm x 100 cm (see: Macro Editor)
- Description - Relevant information about the device, for example when and where to use it
Avoid very long descriptions.
If you need more information, edit the help (by clicking the
Edit Help in the main toolbar) of the device and include what you find relevant
- Tip Template - a macro that will be used to form the text when hovering over the device launched in blueprint.
For example, the macro:
It would show something similar to:
see: Macro Editor
- Family - provides the second level of classification of the device (the first is whether it is a structure, pipe, etc), for example: Visit Well
- Sub Type - provides the third level of device classification, for example: Rectangular with chimney
- Icon - a small image (the program resizes the provided image to 64x64 pixels) to represent the device
in the program editing screens
- Priority - Informs the current state of the model and can be:
- Critical - the model has some problem that will prevent its use in the project:
- No solids were exposed by the activity Expose Solid
- Some model property that needs to be computed were actually assigned with the activity Set Parameter
- Some activity/property name is duplicated or violates naming rules
- The model cannot run with the default values or the values are mismatched (example: start point equals end point on a tube)
- Warning - the model has some problem, but this does not prevent its use, example:
- A property of type read and write is being recalculated, for example: the endpoint of a device of type ladder needs to be recalculated every
since the ladder is stretched and this must be a point whose distance from the starting point is a multiple of the step length of this ladder
- Neutral - no apparent problem in the model
On Toolspace, the icon assigned to the device will come with an overlay when the current state is critical ( ) or warning ( ):
The example structure has the following properties:
