Macro Editor

The macro editor lets you create macros that extract properties from program items:

These properties are extracted from the items above, then formatted and used in:

Macros can also be used to create name templates, in case of device numbering

The macro editor looks like this:

In the Properties item, choose one of the several listed properties:

Then, in the frame below it, choose your formatting options:

Depending on the type of information provided by the property, you can format the property value as you see fit. There are: texts, integers, real numbers, magnitudes with measurement units, among others.

After configuring the options, click the button next to the property name, notice that it is inserted in the box on the side:

The macro is a text: [Rim Elevation(T1|U9|P3|D0|N1|M1|Z0)], when you click this text, notice that all the content between the square brackets is selected and the clicked property becomes available in the left frames.

If you want to edit the formatting of an already inserted macro, click the macro in the right frame, then change the formatting properties in the bottom left frame and then click the button again. It will replace the macro entered in the right frame:

In the example above, the unit of measurement was changed from centimeters to millimeters.

When the program needs this macro, it will read the property and format the value with the above characteristics then write a string.
