Solids Builder - Ucs
Ucs - creates a clone of anything drawable and aligns it in another coordinate system (not deformed):
Note, the source item will not be modified.
The geometry will be cloned and then aligned with the parameters entered.
The Ucs activity has the following properties:
- Identification
- Name - extrude name
The activity name must follow the naming rules
- Geometry to Transform - name of the geometry to be transformed
- Visible Object - indicates whether or not the point should be drawn in the preview

- Origin
- From Point - name of
Point that serves as the origin of the object's current coordinate system
- Original X axis - name of the
vector that indicates the X axis of the object's current coordinate system
- Original Y axis - name of the
vector that indicates the Y axis of the object's current coordinate system
- Original Y axis - name of the
vector that indicates the Y axis of the object's current coordinate system
- Destination
- To Point - name of
Point that serves as the origin of the object's destination coordinate system
- Original X axis - name of the
vector that indicates the X axis of the object's destination coordinate system
- Original Y axis - name of the
vector that indicates the Y axis of the object's destination coordinate system
- Original Y axis - name of the
vector that indicates the Y axis of the object's destination coordinate system
Note:
- Even if vectors of varying lengths are provided, the transformation matrix will be composed only of transformations
Displacement and
3D Rotate.
- Vectors must be orthogonal to each other (just like vectors X, Y and Z at the origin)
- Use the activities
Perpendicular and
Cross product to obtain orthogonal vectors
If the text is too big/small, or the sphere representing the point is too big or small, use the buttons ( A, a,
,
) at the top of the screen to change the preview
