Hydraulic Design
Hydraulic design applies to gravity networks:
For these networks, in general, the Designing is done as channel, and then the properties that relate
the flow rates with the devices, either:
In these networks, two moments are considered:
- Dimensioning - in Designing, analyzes are usually carried out for the typical network operating situation.
In Drainage Networks, a recurrence time equal to 10 years is considered, for example. In Sewage Networks, the minimum tensile tension in the network is evaluated, considering an initial population
- Verification - in verification, the final, more critical or saturated situation of the network is evaluated. In Drainage Networks, it could be done
with a recurrence of 25 years if the dimensioning was done with 10; This will depend a lot on the type of project, requirements of the bodies that evaluate the project, norms
followed, etc. In Sewage Networks, the pipe capacity is evaluated, that is, maximum depth and flow velocity, in order to determine whether the network is capable of meeting the
flow.
