Solids Builder - Rotate 3D
Rotate 3D - creates a clone of anything drawable in another position, rotated relative to an point and
Axis of rotation:
Note, the source item will not be modified.
The cloned geometry is then rotated to another position.
The Rotate 3D activity has the following properties:
- Identification
- Name - name of the activity
The activity name must follow the naming rules
- Geometry to Transform - name of the geometry to be transformed
- Axis - name of the vector that will serve as the axis of rotation
- Center - name of the point that will serve as the center
- Angle - a numerical value or a VB expression the angle, positive counterclockwise in the plane of rotation
- Object Visible - indicates whether or not the geometry should be drawn in the preview
- Angle Dimension
- Dimension Offset - VB expression that distances the dimension line
- Dimension Rotation - indicates whether to draw a dimension at the angle of rotation
- Dimension Template - a text template that provides the dimension
Use <> for the dimension
(Example: Rotate = <>)
If the text gets too big/small, or the sphere that represents the point gets too big or small, use the buttons ( A, a, , ) at the top of the screen to change the preview
