Solids Builder - Plane (3 points)

Plane (3 points) - creates a reference plane that passes through three known points:

Planes are used in transformations of the type Mirroror when handling solids of type Slice:

The Plane (3 points) activity has the following properties:

• Identification
  • Name - plane name
    The plane name must follow the naming rules
  • Point 1 - point 1
  • Point 2 - point 2
  • Point 3 - point 3
  • Show Lines - draws lines (the blue lines in the wing example) connecting the three reported points to the calculated origin of the plane (which will be in the centroid of the triangle)
  • Visible Object - indicates whether or not the point should be drawn in the preview

Note that the drawing represents a rectangle for the plane itself. This rectangle is merely illustrative, it has the function of indicating Where: the plane is.

If the text is too big/small, or the sphere representing the point is too big or small, use the buttons ( A, a, , ) at the top of the screen to change the preview
